Dude, you just started resting 5 mins? You should try resting 10min by now, right? I rest 5-7 minutes right now. Maybe Yang and JC can chime in here on rest times...
I'm impressed. I rested 10 min on Tues when I failed at 285. I've been resting atleast 5-7 mins for the last few weeks. Maybe try 6-7 mins next time, might be able to up your bar speed.
Near the end of my LP I was resting about 7-10 minutes. Don't worry about the time itself, just rest until you think that this is as recovered as you're gonna be.
Hmm...I'll take this all under advisement. Perhaps further gains are to be had with more rest in between sets. I should reread SS, I was under the impression 3 min between sets was the goal.
So I have a feeling there's gonna be a CFFB total on Saturday to coincide with a meet they're putting on. I was thinking this would be an ideal time to move from the LP amateur status to periodized collegiate. But now I'm second guessing that. Maybe I should stick with LP and gradually increase my interset rest time. Thoughts?
If you're not in any particular hurry to get on the collegiate CFFB I'd say max out your LP before you move on. And yeah up that rest time to however long you need.

ReplyDeleteThe Rip suggests you rest as long as you need I'm fairly sure.
