Monday:
Squat 365lbs 3x5. Was really happy about this. I couldn't even do 1x5 2 weeks ago.
Bench 225lbs 3x3. Light day on bench.
Power cleaned up to 180lbs. Didn't feel nearly as good today. It seems to be a very "groovy" type of movement where the weight I can do on good days vs bad days are hugely different.
Tuesday:
Press 150lbs 1x5. Finally got this.
Deadlift 375x1, 395x1, 415x1. Felt happy about this. 375 was my max a couple of months ago.
Damn dude good work on the squat/press/dead. Thats huge. Looks like you're still making steady gains? Do you attribute the improvements to switching it up from SS to TM?
ReplyDeleteActually my programming for deadlifts are stupid simple. I just pull one top set of 5 every week. I think I'm one of those people whose deadlifts go up when they do it less often. It's certainly what I'm seeing. Squats also probably have some carryover.
ReplyDeleteFor squats, I actually switched back to linear progression. I'm off the calorie deficit now so that helps. Plus I think I accumulated a lot of volume during my month on TM which helps.
