ASWOD

3x5 back squat @ 155 (5-5-10; went for speed, was gonna do a 20RM widowmaker then pussed out, coulda got it if i wasn't a bitch)
3x5 bench press @ 160 (PR tie)

DWOD

As many rounds as possible in 8 minutes:
5 DB Burpees - 40 lb DBs (subbed 20 lb DBs by misunderstanding)
10 Ball Slams - 40 lbs (subbed 1.5 pd KB slam)

4 rounds even. Gassed so hard my throat dried out, painful.

  1. didnt think this merited its own post so here goes:

    2 hours of snatch work. worked pretty deliberately on getting the first pull in the right positions so the second pull would get the bar in the hip crease. feels a bit better than it did in the past but couldn't get comfortable enough to do squat snatches, so everything was power snatches. worked up from the barbell to 110lb then back down. need to get a lot more reps in to feel comfortable with the positions.

    came home and ran on the beach for 20-30 mins. yeah, hard as f on the quads when you're running in the soft stuff. highlight of the run was this girl running in the opposite direction on softer sand than me with a slamming body. made me run in the softer crap after i passed her.
