did crossfit today

Went with my friend to River North Crossfit today because he's been bugging me to go and they were doing front squat 1RMs.

I worked up to 275lbs but probably had another 10-15 in me; ran out of time though.

Metcon:

10-8-6-4-2
50% 1rm front squats
Chest to bar pullups.
Managed a 6:30. I'm so out of shape.

  2. @MB: It was ok actually. One issue I saw is that Atlas tends to program more strength stuff (which I like) and RNC programs more metcon. I saw a number of trainers and members from Atlas there. Apparently a couple (Todd comes to mind) didn't like working at atlas for some reason so they left, and a few members liked those trainers so they tagged along.

    @JC: Yeah I've been doing them on light days (3x3) since starting texas method. I think there's a lot of room for improvement. Your front squat is crazy close to your back squat!

  3. Yeah it was for a while. Probably about 30-40lb difference now. Havent maxed out either in a while but I'm guessing 250FS 290BS
