pretty bummed about this. hit 3x3@345 and then a single at 365 on the 5th, so i was hoping for something in the 380 neighborhood for a single. maybe i didn't do as many warm up sets as i should have, i dunno. that last 360 i just barely missed. we'll see how this weekend goes...time to rest up for saturday.
Eating/resting ok? How hard was the 3x3? I'd say your 4rm is probably around 345, which gives us a 375 1rm. HOWEVER unless you practice regularly with 90+% 1rm it's generally harder to hit that consistently.
ReplyDeleteI for one am terrible at that shit. The only way I can guarantee hitting a weight is if I can do 90% of it for like 5.
Yeah, eating/resting have been fine lately. I guess I'm comparing now to April when I was about at the same place during sets of squats (3x3@345ish) but I squatted 385 two weeks out from the meet with more left (which is why I went for 396 on my 3rd attempt). Wasn't even close to squatting 385 today.
