stupid free army gym...its bullshit.
anyway...got that strict press PR i missed last time (3x5 @ 105#). my bench press seems to be fluctuating between 140-150, which is muy frustrato.
did those "get a better rack" stretches JC linked to a few days ago, first thing after warm up (getting better at DUs), but only on one arm. made a marked difference. i did the other one and my rack felt great (TWSS).

ReplyDeletepretty soon, a week or two maybe. gains on my lifts are harder to come by now, so i think its about time to shock the system again with a switch over to metcons. i'd be happy if i could get to a 3x5 back squat @ 225#...nice round number to pause at and i'm only 10 lbs off, but my form was lacking. i need to buckle down on not letting my weight rock forward onto my midfoot. really want to get some lifting shoes soon, i think that will help a lot when i'm really pushing my strength limits.
