2012-02-22 Intensity (MB)

Woke up sick on Wednesday. Didn't do anything for the past two days. Forced myself to lift today.

Intensity
Squat: 260x4 (FAIL)
Bench: 190x5
Deadlift: 290x5
Pull-ups: 8-4

Failed squat. My guess is two days a week (M/F) is not enough volume. Thoughts? Could be because I'm sick. I have to remember that my current routine is programmed to maintain as much as I can as I ramp up my running. Still, can't help but getting upset at failure.

  1. I think two days a week of squatting is fine if you're sleeping and eating right

  2. I think volume is not the problem. Let's tweak your TM. Did volume day feel easy? If so increase that. Was volume day hard? If so drop volume by a tiny bit. If both were hard maybe we are overreaching and we should drop both and/or sleep/eat better.
