CFFB 092412: shit day

ASWOD
3x5 squat @ 285 (fail: 5-4-3)
3x5 press @ 125 (fail: 5-5-4)

DWOD
It was either go to the gym with the good squat rack or go to the gym with the place to do box jumps and sprints, soooo....subbed todays DWOD with 8x100m sprint rows with 1m rest between.  Best time was 17.4s.

Today was another one of those days where I had a clean weekend and missed all my lifts.  Am I at my potential for linear programming?  Disappointing if so.

  1. What prompted you to add 5lb vs 10lb to the squat this time around?

  2. I think I've always gone with 5lb increments on squat, unless I reset big and am trying to zip through the early part of the reset.

  3. 5lbs is good, especially since you're probably near your linear gains. With those #s at your bodyweight I think you're pretty much nearing the end. How many times have you deloaded squat? What's your plan for the next phase of strength training? Start following CFFB collegiate programming? Or do like, texas method? 5/3/1? A new program none of us have done?

  4. Reset squat maybe 4 good times. My bench and press is what has been keeping me on an LP, I feel like I should have more room to grow still. I haven't looked into what I want to do next. Exciting though. On the surface, collegiate CFFB appeals to me since it's already integrated into a conditioning program I like. I'll have to research it more obviously though, not even sure what it is other than periodized.
