Workout 8/7/12

I think I've got my meet prep planned out.  Since I'm still an "intermediate" lifter, most sources seem to advocate not really doing too much to "taper".  Therefore, I think what I'm going to do is lift as normal until about 2 weeks out.  With two weeks left, I'll hit my openers.  One week out, I'll just keep my workouts very short, and basically just warm up and groove the movements.

Starting next week, my training plan will be Wendler's 5/3/1 + BBB accessory exercises.  Essentially this means I'll do the 5/3/1 sets, and then 5 sets of 10 @ 50% training max for the same lift.  In other words, squat day will be:

Squat 5/3/1
Squat @50% 5x10

I think this will be good to really get the technique down for each lift.

I'm also going to up my conditioning.  Living in a city like SF, I think there's no better choice for conditioning than running hills :)

In terms of nutrition, basically keep protein to about 200g per day, and hit 3000 calories on lifting days and 2000 calories on off days.  I'll re-evaluate in about a month if my weight hasn't gotten closer to 181.  Also, it looks like I have the option of weighing in the day before, so I may just diet down to about 184-185, then dehydrate/deglycogen down to 181.  After weigh-in, I'll go to a buffet and go to town or something...
