Squat 3x5 340lbs
Press 1x5 150lbs, only got 3, then did another 3. I'll get this next time! Maybe.
Deadlift 1x5 345lbs. Sumo, was fairly easy.
While trying to show MB the clean technique I learned from my class (95lbs on the bar) I waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overpulled and smacked my neck/jaw pretty hard. It was funny for everyone but me.
he's right, it was funny. :):)
ReplyDeletethings I learned from Yang:
(1) My squat form is pretty good.
(2) He can squat way more than I can.
(3) Make sure to engage legs when doing deadlifts - this was much easier when I stood closer to the bar (bar above my midfoot).
(4) Don't pull 95lbs like its 495lbs :)
Ha that sucks. One cue that has helped my deadlifts is trying to keep my shins vertical during the entire lift. Also engaging the hamstrings to the point where they'd be en fuego if you sat there for more than like 5 seconds is a good spot to be in before starting your pull.
