30 Double Unders
15 Snatches 75#
326 reps (7 + 11)
Pretty happy with this score right now, it'll probably be good for third or fourth at DCF. Broke up the snatches into 8-7 from the first round because I knew I wouldn't be able to go unbroken. Double Unders I took as slow as possible, got tripped up a few times, probably did 4 or 5 rounds unbroken. I can probably squeeze out a few more reps because I was liberal with my transitions between movements, we'll see if I give it another go though.
This is the same as Open WOD 11.1, in 2011 I did this before I could consistently string together double unders. My post from March 2011:

"CrossFit Games Open 11.1
First CF Games Open WOD:
Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 10 minutes of:
30 Double-unders
15 Power snatches (75lb)
134 (2 rounds, + 30 DU, 14 power snatches)
This is the good part, to put it in perspective: former CF Games Champion Jason Khalipa...
7 rounds + 3 snatches"
I guess I beat Jason Khalipa's score from three years ago, which is pretty sweet. Here's some more perspective though, current 14.1 leaderboard with two and a half more days left to submit scores:
1. Rich Froning 444 (9 + 39)
2. Jason Khalipa 442 (9 + 37)

amazing performance. Perhaps the most impressive part is that last round. I had 1:30ish when i started my last round of snatches and i couldn't get back on the rope.
ReplyDeleteThanks dude. I averaged 8 seconds of rest between snatch sets and movements. If I cut that to 7 seconds I'll have 21 more seconds to work. Gonna give it another shot Monday.
