Week in review

Got a mild amount of stuff done this week.  Highlights:

3x5 squat @ 335 (fail: 5-5-3)
3x5 bench @ 170
3x5 squat @ 305 (see vid below)
3x90s plank

Tried my hardest to dub some awesome k-pop over the video, but they had nothing for free that I was into.

  1. Nice dude. Looked easy. Have you considered lifting facing away from the mirror since you won't have one to look at at the meet?

  2. Ok so from that video, I see a number of issues.

    1) Some of the reps were not hitting depth.
    2) As you get more tired your upper back is rounding and there's quite a bit of good-morning-ing the bar up.
    3) There is no bounce from the bottom, although some people who do low bar don't use the bounce so it's not that big an issue.

  3. @JC, yea i've lifted now and then facing away from the mirror, just too lazy to move the j hooks most of the time

    @yang, yeah, depth is an issue, and so is the good morninging. i'll try to work on those. and yea I stopped bouncing, If i go that deep my pelvis rolls and I lose tension on my posterior, so I think that's worse than what I gain from the bounce. I'll experiment with bouncing singles when I do a mock meet.
