Woke up sick on Wednesday. Didn't do anything for the past two days. Forced myself to lift today.
Intensity
Squat: 260x4 (FAIL)
Bench: 190x5
Deadlift: 290x5
Pull-ups: 8-4
Failed squat. My guess is two days a week (M/F) is not enough volume. Thoughts? Could be because I'm sick. I have to remember that my current routine is programmed to maintain as much as I can as I ramp up my running. Still, can't help but getting upset at failure.
I think two days a week of squatting is fine if you're sleeping and eating right
ReplyDeleteI think volume is not the problem. Let's tweak your TM. Did volume day feel easy? If so increase that. Was volume day hard? If so drop volume by a tiny bit. If both were hard maybe we are overreaching and we should drop both and/or sleep/eat better.
