CFFB 081312: Reset some stuff after deload

ASWOD

3x5 squat @ 235 (reset from 290)
3x5 press @ 120 (just a 5 lb reset)

DWOD

3x10 broad jumps (3 min rest in between sets)
Then...
8 min AMRAP:
10 supine ring pullups
10 parallette pushups

6 rounds even.  Satisfied with that.  The ring pulls were the limiting factor.  I almost skipped this part of the workout entirely because of the quantity of huge spider carcasses on the floor of the basement.  But then I thought about what MB would say to me and I felt like I just brought home a C on my report card in middle school.

  2. I was under the impression that 15-25% is pretty standard. My form had fallen apart a bit in the 280-290 range so I want to work back up through with that improved. Should only take 6 weeks to get back up there.

  3. Oh ok, I think for SS the amount was about 10% for a near miss (like you went 5/5/4 or something) and 15% for a big miss (like 3/2/2)

  4. Oh say word? I believe you, it's been forever since I read through SS. (I've really been meaning to buy a copy, I soooo wish they made a hardcover leather bound one with some kind of ornate gold foiling on the cover.) I'll take a couple 10 lb hops to get on track for a 4 week recovery. Thanks for pointing that out.

  8. I'm having a wardrobe issue right now, none of my clothes fit. I could legit pop the buttons off this dress shirt i'm wearing if i push my gut out.

  9. Haha good work. I'm doing some damage at the Brazilian steakhouse in DC this Sat. Cannot wait. My friend who weights like 230 and reps 340 on the squat is also going. I can't wait to go head to head.
