5x3 power clean @ 160

Focused on a good catch in the rack.  How do you measure your grip for cleans, JC? I was playing with different grip widths trying to see what felt the nicest on my elbows.

Death by chinups:
1 the first minute, 2 the second, etc.
Did not complete minute 10 but I finished them. Total: 55 strict.

  1. My clean grip width is the same as my press/jerk width, which I get by placing my hands wherever they need to be so that my forearms are vertical when holding the bar in the bottom of the press position.

    For me that means placing my hands one stretched out thumb length from the start of the knurling

    At the very least the grip on the clean should be outside shoulder width.
