"Dead Jumps"

Copped from Hybrid Athletics last week sometime...

5 rounds:
20 Box jumps (I did a bit past knee height, probably something like 20")
12 Deadlifts (I did 135# and I'm damn glad I didn't do more)
20 Air squats

~18min (I hit the friggin' reset button on my watch instead of the stop button)

3x5 Incline bench @ 95
3x15 situps SS w/ 3x10 back extension (my back was toast after this, used the minicart at the grocery store as a walker.)

Box jumps quickly is difficult. So is deadlift. Air squats not so much, once I got the arm movement down. What category of wod would this fall into? Metcon?

  1. Oh yeah, throw a set of useless hack squats into that wod too...some lady asked me how the machine worked and wanted a demonstration...for like 6 reps.

    Sounds like a good wod. I'd call it a metcon.

  3. Did somewhat of a puss workout today with Lauren to get back on the band wagon. Basically took the last week off, finger blisters are good to go so I should be able to go all out once I get my fatass back home next week.

    Did some deadlift work to start out. 3x1 at 345 and 5x1 at 310 + some plyometric/core shit

    Then:

    21-15-9
    Kettle bell swing 45lb
    35lb dumbbell push press

    4:00

    Not particularly taxing but good enough for today I guess.
