Don't rag on me

Did a crossfit kids wod today.

21 burpees
3 knees to elbows
18 burpees
6 knees to elbows
...
3 burpees
21 knees to elbows

~20 min, I estimate I couldve got around 17 if I didn't have to wait for the pullup bar.

I plan on mwod #2 tonight when I get home from class. Its hard to describe the position, and I'm on my phone...4 min total per hip.

    there was a crossfit trainer working out today who gave me some pointers on the jerk. i tend to drop my elbows when prepping to jerk like im doing a push press or thruster, he said you want to keep your elbows as high as possible/as close to the rack position as possible. this makes it easier to keep the bar going vertical on the jerk rather than out in front of you. on my 195 c&j i definitely noticed i had to almost chase the bar b/c it was going slightly forward instead of straight up on the jerk

    5 rounds for time of:
    400 meter run
    95 pound Overhead squat, 15 reps

    scaled ohs to 75lb, glad i did b/c i did all 5 sets unbroken, maybe try 85lb next time.

  2. did that MWOD just now...friggin shit is painful. i kinda 'scaled' it though. i did 2 min each hip, then did it again. and i didnt get my chest in a good verticle position either. and i alternated glute contraction/relaxation...could hold that shit for more than 5 seconds or so without grunting in pain. exciting things are afoot in my fitness journey.
